Sloppy Jo's is closing in August, 2009 & is moving to Glencoe. The owner (who actually lives in the Ravinia neighborhood) has had it with the city, their economic development liaison. Her decision has already been made. The City seems to not go out of their way to encourage a small business owner to take a chance on this neighborhood.

How ironic that a place called sloppy is so very neat! It brings new meaning to the term "happy place" and we're lucky enough to live in walking distance. Delicious, simple and a whole lot of fun. Thank you!

This is such a fun and unique place... Sloppy Jo's are truly a favorite amongst all ages, so why do you rarely see them on restaurant menus? This place obviously recognized this and decided to open an entire restaurant based on the sandwich... and they sure did it up right. If you are ever in Highland Park, this place is a must, especially if you have children in tow.

Talk about a dream come true! Great food that both kids and grown-ups will like at affordable prices. Sloppy Jos, Tater Tots, and Hot Dogs top the list of tasty things to eat. And, there's fun to be had while waiting for your order. Doodle on an Etch-a-Sketch, dock your I-POD, browse through the cool retro candy rack for a blast from the past. There's something for everyone at this great new Ravinia neighborhood eatery.
