I am a usual costumer at Tepatulco restaurant on halsted and wrightwood and i am in love with the place. The food is terrific, the atmosphere is elegant, there is a enormous patio which is perfect on a beautiful day, the service is spectacular and when you dine at Tepatulco you feel very comfortable eating at this elegant restaurant in the Lincoln Park area. I have eaten many of the delicious items on the Tepatulco restaurant menu and I just can't get enough of the amazing food that is created by the restaurants executive chef Geno. For anyone looking for a great mexican Restaurant than Tepatulco is for you. Thank You for reading

Awful! I have never had such bad service. It took over two hours to get our food, and when we did get it, it was cold. I wish the was an exageration. I have never seen such bad service. The staff was rude and unhelpful. There are so many good restaurants in Chicago, why anybody would go here is beyond me. Chicago Magazine got this rating wrong. My prediction is that Tepatulco will be out of business by the end of July - and they deserve it.

We love this place. Fantastic margaritas. Don't go here expecting average or std Mexican fare. This is authentic regional Mexican cuisine with great flavors and originality. Cozy, family owned atmosphere with relaxed attentive service. We are definately going back.

Our experience at Tepatulco was horrible. The place is really strange inside and the service and food are terrible. They tried to make an upscale Mexican restaurant inside what used to be a neighborhood restaurant and disco. The white table cloths and weird paintings do not hide the old motif. It is apparent that they tried to do the cheapest conversion possible. When you first walk in, the front room is nice, but when you head to the second room, it is still a dance floor. The disco is even open after 11:00. They were even filling up balloons behind the drapes while we were eating. . It took so long to get our food that they gave us a free round of margaritas. Once we got it, our food was terrible and too expensive for the small entrees we received. There was no chicken in my enchiladas and they deep fried my husband's tilapia. They really missed on all accounts with this restaurant.
