I've enjoyed all my visits to Marigold. I've spent $20 on a Sunday night and $55 on a Friday night! Not used to a one page menu in an Indian restaurant but everything is so fresh and high quality that its hard to go wrong, though the thick lamb chops for $19 are a steal! I love the service here, the staff cares and it shows. The room is nice, well thought out but not over the top. They're not cheap but you definitely get what you pay for.

So disappointing, we had been to Marigold many times and loved it, but with a change in chef and some better wait staff gone it is no longer of any interest. For better, and better priced, meals there are now many better options in Uptown. A little dark paint and low light cannot make up for the prices which no longer reflect any quality worth paying for.

I took some out-of-state guests here after reading several good reviews. The food was delicious (a bit overpriced), but the service was unimpressive. Our entrees came in a rush when we were only half-way through with our appetizers - the whole transition was very uncomfortable. Then, 1 person in our party of 6 had to wait nearly 20 minutes for his entree because Marigold prepared the wrong dish. Eventually our bellies were satisfied, but our pocketbooks were not as our request for a price adjustment was taken lightly. Try it, but don't get your hopes up too high!

Excellent restaurant, a sign of the Uptown revival.

I had the Boti Kabob which was outstanding and the Makhani for an entree which was also great.

The atmosphere is quite nice with the front portion being well lit and the back being a bit darker giving you options.

The only complaint was of course the price it ended up being around $45 a person with a glass of wine, an appetizer, and an entree per person. Not that bad but not every night dining either.

I have to admit, I was a little reluctant when my wife first recommended we try Marigold. However, I can't wait to go back. The Kalonji Chicken was excellent and the Bohti Kabob is outstanding. I rarely eat fish, but, the Halibut is the next dish I will order when we return. I would highly recommend this restaurant...
