One of the few neighborhood joints left that's friendly and cozy enough for a single gal to hang out in. I liked this place so much I moved into the neighborhood.

Despite being written up and getting attention, this homey little bar remains a neighborhood hangout for locals. New patrons are greeted warmly, and introduced to the rest of the bar, but the regulars are the mainstay here. Of course, everyone is welcome, and you feel it upon entering. Look for frequent specials and barbeques, but stay away from Joe. He bites.

i came to the chipp inn for the first time sunday night. i don't know how i ever lived without it. the best bar in the area.

Great place to relax and meet friendly people. Thursday's Grab Bag Beer Special is outstanding. Best Beer Prices in town ($2.50 for domestic bottles). Pleasant employees Like Nancy, Joe, Kirsten, Jerry and Laurie make you feel at ease from your first visit to your last. Great atmosphere during sport events - Cub & Sox fans welcomed. Great patrons make your visit a pleasant event.

This place is definitely the best kept secret in Chicago! This is the type of place where you can bring your own crowd or simply go alone and feel as if you're one of the crowd. All in a setting that's clean yet reminiscent of its pre-Prohibition roots.

I love this place.
If you want a treat - stop in on Wednesday evenings. They have live jazz featuring Rachel Charson. Some of the best jazz in the city.
