Every summer the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts takes over the park space at Block 37, setting up tents and filling them with the creative output of young artists age 14-21. The performances, paintings and other artworks are the result of the coaching and teaching given by Gallery 37’s staff to their young “apprentices.” Stop by the tents to purchase the early work of a future art scene star, then go around the corner to 66 E. Randolph and visit the Gallery 37 Center. All of the exhibitions at the CenterSpace Gallery (on the fifth floor) are free and open to the public, and you can view the works of professional artists as well as those still in-training.
