This suburban Villa-Park power-trio follows in the grand tradition of Chicago power-pop bands. While they may not be the next Pumpkins or Cheap Trick, they do have a very nice gritty sound with some killer pop hooks. The band is comprised of Anthony Gaetto (drums), Steve Granstrom (bass and vocals) and Jon Raleigh (guitar and vocals). They have a new record, "Gas Money EP" out on Red Dog Records that sounds so much like a Jim Ellison effort it's spooky. Though the Material Issue comparisons leap to mind everytime these guys play, they are not completely derivative. They do have some great song-writing talent and are certainly in the top tier of Chicago pop-rock purveyors. For more information, visit their website: http://www.timebeings.com
