 Rock band who's roots come partially from Oak Park, IL, The Fiery Furnaces is made up by Matt and Eleanor Friedberger, who are brother and sister. Matt Friedberger also attended the University of Illinois in Urbana, but never finished. Eleanor ended up in Brooklyn, NY four years ago, soon after Matt joined her and began their band. The music is a mixture of pop, rock, folk, and even punk.
