After making their way through the city’s best live music venues and festivals, the august headed for the studio to craft a debut album diverse in influence and palette, from folk and American rock to Americana and bluegrass.
Telling stories pulled out of the pages of everyday, every town America, The August are rock singer-songwriters in the vein of Tom Petty, Counting Crows, The Thorns, and Guster.
The August has been a RedEye "Best Bet for the Weekend", earned airplay on WXRT and college radio, and played Chicago standout gigs like the Taste of Chicago.
