| There once was a drummer in a rock band and he wasn't happy with his guitar players so he ate them. "Mmmm, such delicious complacency" said the drummer. He then became the guitar player and soon after he found that he was unhappy with the singer so he ate him too. "I love the taste of mediocrity" bellowed the new singer. Now with nobody left to devour he can turn his appetite towards musical madness and carnivorous performance. After all of the calamity we have Royal, born in late 2003. The rock trio, consisting of Poniatowski, Harty & Romero calls Chicago home. Years of slugging it out on the local scene has produced a lean mean rock machine in which Poniatowski controls the cockpit. The music twists, turns, and elevates while the live shows radiate a spastic energy that you wouldn't expect from just three young rockers. Ask them their influences and you will get a unique response unlike most talented dynamic bands. They like music that people HAVE HEARD OF!!! Raw energy from Guns n Roses, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and Hum has leaked into their output. Yet the evidence is well hidden when noise is produced to give Royal its signature sound. Royal is pure when it sings, cries, and teaches. Royal only knows when to start but not to finish.
