| Chicago-born pianist and composer has won three Grammys and eight Gold Records (most by the early seventies), but Lewis is still active, with a radio show picked up in ten cities (including Chicago's WNUA), and a television show on B.E.T., "Ramsey Lewis' Sound and Style." His trio included bassist Eldee Young and drummer "Red" Holt. He's been associated with several Chicago nightclubs, and performed at clubs and concert halls worldwide. Probably still best known for his 1965 instrumental hit "The In Crowd" and "Hang on Sloopy."
