| Hemenjini Ma’at Nubian, a.k.a Ladee Flipside, is the youngest member of the hip-hop crew, Alien8ighted All Star Pro. She first broke into the scene with her critically acclaimed poetry set, R.A.N.D.U.M. (Rhythm Art And Divine Unity Movement Showcases), which infused cipher style hip-hop, spoken word, beat-boxing and live instrumentation. Flipside, born Julia A. F. Goolsby, was raised in what is now known as Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. And having grown up in one of the city’s most violent areas, she was literally denoted as the flower child that rose from the harsh concrete streets. In 2005 Flipside, along with her "Twin Taurus" Ryan Officer (A8 pro.), released a debut EP entitled "Word." Naturally, it was an organic blend of hip-hop, rock and soul with a strong feminine twist.
The album was well received by critics, and the success led to her co-hosting the second longest running hip-hop night, Metaphoric Mondays at Exedus II Night Club. In 2006 Flipside and the Alien8ighted All-Stars went on a series of tours entitled "Ladies First," which helped enlightened fans understand the important role women play in the development of hip-hop culture. Additionally, she has toured with a number of artists including Kool Herc and Large Professor, and is looking to further her music career, keeping the emphasis on a woman’s perspective, from a hip-hop standpoint.
