Jazzy, soulful, and smooth are all words that have been used to describe the sounds of All Natural Inc., sounds that have come to define Chicago hip-hop. Few people outside of All Natural producer Kenny Keys understand where this sound really comes from. A formally trained musician, Keys has taken his skills on the piano and applied them to production. His musical knowledge has taken his music beyond typical sample-based production to something more academic (don't worry, it'll still make your head nod). Jazz plays an extremely influential role in his creative process, and it can be heard at the forefront of nearly every one of his beats.
Keys has been laying down beats for 13 years now, and he's currently linked up with Eulorhythmics and Lyric District. He is truly one of the unsung heroes of Chicago hip-hop, and with his passion rooted in music rather than fame, he probably wouldn't want it any other way.
