Since her graduation from Northwestern University as a Theater major, Parsons has been playing stages throughout the US and in Europe. Her homebase is Chicago, where she released her first full-length album "Framing Caroline" in the Spring of 1999 on long time Chicago indie label, Waterdog Music.
The album was recorded in one day and mixed and mastered in a second day. There are moments when you can tell. She has come a long way since the recording however and her live performance is where she truly shines. Her energy is infectious and one cannot help but like her when seeing her perform.
Parsons generally speaks to issues of relationships, independence, and women's rights in her music. She is currently working on a follow up disc and can be seen at venues such as Schubas and Elbo Room.
