| Formerly called the Jazz Unlimited Big Band, The Jazz Unlimited Orchestra dubs themselves "a modern Big Band in the style of Count Baise and Duke Ellington," and in fact includes in their repertoire many arrangements recorded by the two jazz greats. The overall composers/arrangers list reads like a who's who in classic jazz: Billy Byers , Slide Hampton, Bill Holman, Frank Foster, Benny Golson and Quincy Jones. Additionally, the Band receives new charts from T.S. Galloway, Musical Director and Chief Arranger for Columbia College's repertory jazz ensemble "Stop Time." Unlimited's personal includes: Joe Palumbo, Taku Akiyama, Jim Sunseri, Horace Smith and Joel Sears (saxophones); Sam Walton, Tokunori Kajiwara, Greg Aguirre and Larry Leonard (trombones); Rodney Clark, Bob Lewandowski, Walter Henderson and Billy Weiser (trumpets); Laura Hoffman (piano); John Beard (guitar); Bill Yancey (bass); Rodney Harper (drums).
