New-ish local power pop combo has a brand spankin' new single, "Polyanna/Let's Get Started" (Click here to hear the exclusive Centerstage Web preview). The band's resume may be one of the most impressive in the city. They are comprised of former solo artist Steve Frisbie on guitar and vocals, Matt Thompson on bass, Marcin Fahmy on keyboards, Gerald Dowd on drums and Liam Davis (The Moviegoers) on guitar and vocals.
They're set to release a new disc on July 17 on Appendix Records. According to salon.com it's "...a 40-minute burst of imaginative and affecting songs, making good on its promise as “one of the best and most ambitious pop bands in America".
New Debut is the hotly anticipated follow-up to critical favorite The Subversive Sounds of Love, hailed as ‘the power-pop album of the year” by Greg Kot (Chicago Tribune).
