 Band (who moved to Chicago from Cleveland?) recorded a followup to their 1995 debut Short Bus, which was expected to be released by year-end, but has been postponed into 1998. Despite rumors of their break-up, and the fact that all members except Richard Patrick have left the band, Filter is still alive and well. Drummer Matt Walker left the band to tour and record with the Smashing Pumpkins, but was expected to contribute to the new record (and tour with the band, if the Pumpkins' schedule allows). Walker has since formed another band, The Cupcakes. Both Walker and Liesegang (who was originally hired on as a technician) appeared in The Replicas with Billy Corgan and Chris Connelly.
