| Saxophonist Ernest Dawkins is a member (and former president) of the AACM and leader of the aptly named New Horizons Ensemble. Says Playboy/Chicago Reader critic Neil Tesser, "Dawkins's breezy compositions... employ a boppish vocabulary, but also more recent ideas on harmony and form." Dawkins also has his own record label, called Dawk.
