Elsinore

Elsinore is a 4-piece acoustic folk/rock/alt-country band from Charleston, Illinois. The band’s made up of songwriter Ryan Groff on lead vocals/acoustic guitar, Dave Pride on congas & percussion/vocals, Mark Woolwine on piano/vocals, and Chris Eitel on bass/vocals. The musical interests of the group span from rock to bluegrass to metal to alt-country to folk to classical to latin and back again. Ryan and Mark are both music composition majors and Dave is a percussion studies major at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. Chris is a massage therapist working towards a degree in Chiropractics. The quartet, as it is now, has been together for only a few months now. Ryan and Dave started the band in June of 2004 as an acoustic trio with friend Adam Krug. The band has evolved over the past few months into its current instrumentation, which allows them to not only showcase original songs but cover bands/artists like Radiohead, Ryan Adams, Elton John, and Ben Folds.
