| In their words: "DivaNation is a Chicago-based micro-label that focuses on and promotes mixed-gender bands." The label is led by influential Chicago rock and electronica veteran, Preston Klik; their roster includes Karma Sutra, Pointy Teeth, and Preston Klik's Ritual. . According to Klik: "It's strange that it's 1997 and women still aren't integrated into the music scene. You can go out in Chicago and usually you'll see a band with a bunch of guys, or more rarely, a band with all girls. On the local level, you don't see that many integrated bands with men and women working together . We want to make music more proactive and make a label available to those who are interested in people of the opposite sex getting along and working together creatively."
