| A founding member of the Chicago Chamber Musicians (she was the group's executive director from 1986-1993, and its artistic co-director until September 1995), Deborah Sobol is currently director of the CCM's arts education program. Sobol has performed throughout the US, Europe, and Japan. She graduated magna cum laude from Smith College, where she studied with Lory Wallfisch, and also studied with Hans Petermandl and Carola Grindea at the Hochschule fur Musik, Vienna, and the Royal College of Music, London. She has recorded for Cedilla and Summit Records, and her writing has appeared in Clavier and London's Piano Journal.
