You need to visit Joe's bar, if for no other reason than quarter beer Tuesdays. That's right, drafts are only 25 cents and an entire pitcher is a mere $2. The special runs from 5 p.m. to close and those who stop by before 9 p.m. also get to nosh on Joe's pizzas for half price (they regularly start at $15).
There's also a multi-level dance floor. The 200-seat front section has an island atmosphere and weekends feature occasional rock and R&B bands, but ultimately, this place is a sports fan's dream. The 120-plus televisions stream just about any game you could want, so you'll never miss a beat – though you may find it difficult to focus on just one screen.
If sports aren't your cup of tea, Joe's also doubles as a music venue and has hosted a number of big-name rockers, from Eddie Money and Rick Springfield to The New Bohemians and Run DMC.
Joe's also offers grilled sandwiches which average $7 and appetizers that are, well, they're just damn cheap. They include Greek fries, toasted ravioli and mac n' cheese bites. In the summer you can keep it light with one of Joe's cobb, southwest or Greek salads while you soak up some humid Chicago rays on the outdoor patio.
