Description of Elastic Arts Foundation

Run by the not-for-profit Elastic Arts Foundation (an organization providing performance opportunities for independent artists of all disciplines and media) , this Logan Square sound and vision gallery located above Friendship Chinese Restaurant hosts events, programs and exhibitions devoted to music, poetry, theater, film, dance and visual art. The word multi-disciplinary doesn't begin to cut the string, er stretch out the elastic. Weekly series of performances fuse music, poetry and visual performance, while monthly events, such as the "Elastic Hip-Hop Series" and the "Improvised Music Series," are equally compelling.

Check the website for hours and times of events and programs. For all performances there is a suggested donation varying from $5-$10.
