Editorial Review of Base

You want to look more like a record company executive than a roadie when you enter this stylish hotel bar. Despite all the commercializing you may find at Hard Rock restaurants, this hotel chain is slick. With a minimalist interior, expensive drinks and a velvet rope and bouncer guarding the entrance, it’s more after-party swank than concert craziness.

Though the look has changed, the Hard Rock soundtrack hasn’t. Unless you come during a live DJ or acoustic performance, you’re going to be treated to a rotating set of rock’s greatest hits. So far, the bar has attracted some notable acoustic performers, including members of Kill Hannah.
