Just For Laughs Chicago
Through Sunday
David Cross. Bob Odenkirk. Martin Short. Michael Showalter. George Lopez. Jimmy Fallon. Andy Dick. David Alan Grier. Bill Engvall. Lisa Lampanelli. Patrice O'Neal. All these big names will be gracing Chicago stages this weekend, some more than once, as part of this TBS-sponsored fest. As much as we hate to reference those annoying commercials, Just For Laughs promises to be "very funny."

Highland Games and Scottish Festival
Friday-Saturday; $10-$15
Traditional "games" in the Scottish highlands were athletic contests like throwing weights for distance. This Oak Brook festival includes that (all day Saturday at the Athletics Field) and much more, including traditional music, scotch seminars and a shortbread contest. Our favorite activities: the Haggis Hurling Contest (for women only) and a Knobbly Knees Kilt Contest (for men only).

Taste of Randolph Street
Friday-Sunday; $10
Given its name and location in one of the city's hottest dining areas (the West Loop), you'd think this fest would be all about the food. But the music regularly outshines everything else, and this year's no different. Headliners include The Hold Steady (they rocked Pitchfork last year), Dr. Dog and Tinted Windows.

Puerto Rican Parade
Begins noon Saturday at Columbus and Balbo; free
If you've been enjoying the food, music and general celebration of Fiestas Puertoriguenas this week (and if you haven't, get thee to Humboldt Park ASAP), you know that there's no shortage of Puerto Rican pride in Chicago. It'll be on full display at this downtown procession featuring tons of floats, live music acts, dancers and more. The parade runs north on Columbus to Monroe, and the festivities continue on the West Side through Sunday.

Windy City Rollers Championship
6 p.m. Saturday at UIC Pavilion; $20
The Hells Belles go for their second straight Ivy King Cup against the upstart Manic Attackers. We don't know about you, but the thought of the city's best, most ruthless roller-derby girls going at it for all the glory gets our hearts pumping.
