AcroCats

Circus Cats of Chicago: a Purrformance Like No Other
1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday at Woodstock Opera House
Animal trainer Samantha Martin's Amazing AcroCats perform a variety of entertaining tricks, including riding a skateboard, jumping through hoops and caterwauling in a three piece all-cat band called the Rock Cats. This family-friendly show will delight children and parents alike.

10th Annual Chicago's Best Wing Fest
Noon Sunday at Bailey Auditorium, 1340 W. Washington; $24, $50 for VIP (includes drinks and parking)
Eat wings, drink beer and listen to live blues at the 10th Annual Chicago's Best Wing Fest in the West Loop. More than 20 local restaurants, including Mullen's, Buffalo Joe's and Wild Goose will compete in the categories "mild," "hot," "BBQ," and "exotic," with proceeds benefiting local and national charities. For just $35, Timothy O'Toole's (which has won multiple awards for its wings) will provide tickets, bussing to and from the Auditorium, beer on the bus and a pub t-shirt.

We've already made our picks for the city's best wings.

Oscar Viewing Party with Candi Stratton as Cher
5:30 p.m. Sunday at Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club
What better way to celebrate the Oscars than by strutting the red carpet with resident diva Candi Stratton and ogling four gold-painted, Oscar-esque male models? Candi emcees and performs as Cher during commercial breaks, while you nibble on tapas and sip half-price martinis and complimentary samples of St. Germain liqueur. Get there early and you could take home an Oscar-themed gift bag from St. Germain.

Not into divas? There are a whole lot of Oscar parties out there on Sunday.

"Eye of the Future" Opening Reception
7-10 p.m. Friday at Eyeporium Gallery, 1543 N. Milwaukee (inside Eye Want)
Take a peek into artist Jason Brammer's craft at the opening reception of his "Eye of the Future" exhibition. In addition to viewing three rooms of paintings and a site-specific installation, guests can watch a live painting performance by Brammer. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.

Restaurant Week
Friday through February 27
The second annual Chicago Restaurant Week kicks off Friday, with over 130 local eateries signed on to offer excellent cuisine at a significantly reduced price. With participating restaurants serving $22 three-course prix-fixe lunches and $32 three-course prix-fixe dinners (excluding tax, tip, and drinks), there's never been a better time to revisit a past favorite or try something new.

If you weren't able to get a table, try out the restaurants participating in the inaugural Chicago Chef Week, which starts Sunday.
