Editorial Review of University of Chicago Folk Festival

Date: February 12-14, 2010

Cost: $20-$25 ($15-$20 for seniors, $10 for students and children; $55 for a three-day pass. workshops and dances are free)

What to expect: This three-day celebration of traditional music at Mandel Hall on the University of Chicago campus includes a range of performers, from Irish folk to Virginia bluegrass to Chicago blues. There will also be free activities on Saturday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) at Ida Noyes Hall, 1212 E. 59th - these include instrument workshops, dances, vendors and more.
