What to expect: A festive, late-night loop from Buckingham Fountain through Greek Town, West Loop, and the North and Northwest Sides with cheering crowds throughout (part of Bike Chicago).
Why to go: When else will you get the chance to ride along the lakefront bike path under the stars with thousands of others? It's like Woodstock on wheels, says one former rider.
Additional info: The event starts at 11 p.m. with live music and contests at Buckingham Fountain, and the ride begins in five waves from 1:30-2:10 a.m. Coffee and breakfast will be served at the fountain from 3:30-6 a.m. You must register online prior to the event.
