What to expect: This first-year fest in Elgin's appropriately named Festival Park will offer tastings of over 150 wine varieties, as well as food from local restaurants (including Mandile's Italian Ristorante), interactive cooking demonstrations, live music from The Michael Heaton Band and more.
Additional info: Admission gets you 10 tastings, a souvenir wine glass, a festival program and food and wine demonstrations. You can buy 10 additional tastings for $5. Designated drivers get two non-alcoholic drinks. Ticket sales will end at 6:30 p.m., and alcohol sales and sampling ends at 7:30 p.m.
Beer drinkers can hang out at the Belgian Cafe, where samples of Stella Artois, Leffe and Hoegarden will be available.
