Cost: $30 (goes toward Carrie's Fund, which helps disadvantaged children)

What to expect: This fest at CD & ME, created in honor of Carrie Hudek-Chiuso, a victim of the 2008 Lane Bryant shootings in Tinley Park, includes performances by Peter Cetera, Maggie Speaks and The Voices, as well as a silent auction, raffles and backyard BBQ.

Why to go: To support local schoolchildren; fest proceeds go to Carrie's Fund, a non-profit education organization run by Carrie's family in conjunction with Homewood-Flossmoor High School.
