The folks over at Burlesque of North America decided at some point there should be a day to celebrate the life and work of the iconic Dr. Dre, which is genius. Dr. Dre’s influence spans decades, and even now, at 47, he continues to be a trailblazer. His popularity is greater than ever, so why not celebrate? For Chicago that means a Dre beat set by Max & Pore, a Nate Dog tribute by Wes Restless, and DJ sets from Intel, Maker, Trew, Big Once, Pickel and Kool Hersh – hosted by Psalm One and Rich Jones. The event will be just as entertaining as year’s past, and will be totally worth the cost of admission for the props alone (a giant blunt to name one). (J. Min)
