Since Dessa first linked with Doomtree it was almost a given that at one point she would branch out on her own—her voice is just too strong to contain. Her debut was a hit, and although it’s been some time since news of a follow-up surfaced, she did provide a nice teaser in Castor, the Twin—a remake of previously released songs. Hopefully this tour will give way to some new material because when you have a creative voice like Dessa does it’s vital to strike when the iron’s hot. Chicago’s own Psalm One opens.
