Chicago’s Outer Minds have reinvented themselves several times over, and now, after a number of incarnations, they seem to have found the right fit. The results have been generous, touring across country and playing Pitchfork for instance, and they seemed poised for a big breakout. 2013 could be it, and with the release of their sophomore album, Behind the Mirror, it would only seem fitting. Their set at the Empty Bottle will be in celebration of the release, and if you want to get a sneak peek beforehand you can check out their free in-store at Reckless (Wicker Park) that same day. Either way their performances that day will be free, but for the Empty Bottle set you’ll need to RSVP. (J. Min)
