Listening to King Dude’s Burning Daylight, is like rediscovering a long lost slice of folk Americana. In one moment he conjures up images of Johnny Cash while in others Bob Dylan, but whether or not he’s wrestling with the past or present is unimportant, the music is still relevant today. His performance at the Empty Bottle will be in celebration of the album, and between T.J. Cowgill’s brooding voice, and the intimate setting of the Empty Bottle it’ll without question be a memorable show. (J. Min)
