When Tanya Morgan dropped their first EP Sunset back in 2005 it was clear from the jump that they had star potential. The duo of Donwill and Von Pea vibed off each other in ways that resurrected the spirit of the golden era. At the time rehashing that period of rap was in vogue, but Tanya Morgan stood apart with fresh wordplay and superior storytelling abilities. It’s refreshing to know that they’re still releasing music together (with the exception of Ilyas), and the hope is that they continue to do so until the world catches up with their gospel. (J. Min)
