JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound has come a long way. The outfit started with humble beginnings and now has developed their sound into a mature mixture of soul and funk. Their two albums have been well received, but at this point in the game their fans are expecting more. It appears that JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound are up for the challenge, and their set at the Metro will be a good opportunity to see what they’ve been working on.
