LA-based lo-fi mad scientist Ariel "Pink" Rosenberg is seemingly going in two directions at once. He's getting genius treatment for his purist creation of sounds (armpit, mouthed drum bits, etc.) and treasure like harboring of hundreds of cassette tapes recorded at the cusp of the millennium that would become 2010's Before Today He's also been stamped a sell-out after taking these songs on tour, which, the way they were arranged, were never intended to be performed on stage. But who doesn’t love watching a mad scientist at work? Fellow LA freak-chill lady duo Puro Instinct and Memphis' Magic Kids open. (Gavin Paul)
