The sweet gets bitter with this last Chicago coming of Austin's Voxtrot. Frontman Ramesh Srivastava announced the break-up of this pseudo-Brit indie-pop group, with the run to close following an eight-date tour melodramatically dubbed "Goodbye, Cruel World." Not that Remesh is any stranger to abandoning projects – the band wouldn't have existed at all if not for his ditching of an English Literature program in Glasgow. At least we got to hear the Morrissey-trapped-in-a-John-Hughes-film angst for a while. (Gavin Paul)
