Must-See Music Pick! From the Music Editors: View Music Picks
Though it may come at a steep price tag, a chance to catch the reigning king of blues (now 82) shouldn't be passed up. Ranked one of the best guitarists of all time (Rolling Stone), King is hailed as the originator of a flowing blend of string bends and solos that every bluesman after him would try to replicate. Unfortunately, Lucille - the name of every one of his Gibson guitars - is the only one that can pull it off. Oddly opening is heartstring-tugger Rachel Cantu, a twenty-something singer/songwriter with some tales about a thing called love, armed with a preciously doomed vibrato that her guitar does a fine job of saving.
