If you've been keeping tabs on the local hip-hop scene, you're probably aware that The Shrine is one of the most aggressive venues in terms of filling its bill with living legends. In its brief existence The Shrine has seen performances and DJ sets by Slick Rick, The Platinum Pied Pipers, Talib Kweli, The Roots, Common, Lady Bug Mecca, Rich Medina and Bobbito Garcia, to name a few. Over the next few months, the folks over at The Shrine will be looking to outdo themselves yet again, starting with the legendary DAS EFX, known by many for the classic album Dead Serious. (J. Min)
