It wouldn't be a stretch to say that Tortured Soul lead singer John-Christian Urich sounds a lot like a young Stevie Wonder (yeah he's that good). Comparisons aside, the Brooklyn-based trio (Urich, Ethan White and Jason Kriveloff) has been one of the leading voices in the Nu-Soul movement. Its debut album, Introducing Tortured Soul, was a hit in 2005, and is proof positive that dance music doesn't have to be obnoxiously repetitive. Four years later the group is ready for a reintroduction to the scene with its much anticipated follow-up, Did You Miss Me. This show will be in celebration of the album, and it's highly recommended you get tickets in advance as the last performance was a sell-out. (J. Min)
