If Digable Planets hadn't broken up soon after the release of its 1994 album, Blowout Comb, you probably would be mentioning the group right alongside stalwarts like A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. But things didn't work out that way, and we have to be content with what little hip-hop/jazz fusion we got. This show should be a night to remember as Digable will be going through its short list of classics, from "Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)" to "Black Ego." The group will be missing one of its three MCs, Ladybug Mecca, but don't be surprised if local femme fatale Psalm One steps in for a song or two. Live hip-hop band Abstract Giants will open along with electronic trip-hop producers Boomjuice. (J. Min)
