Stanley "Buckwheat" Dural may have inherited the Louisiana-zydeco crown from late traditionalist and mentor Clifton Chenier, but he quickly took the genre into a new era, merging both rock and R&B to create a party-jam hybrid, which eventually helped him become the first zydeco artist to land a major record deal, first with Island and later with Atlantic. Teasing as opener is fellow bayou-heart, Josh Charles, a loungey Van Morrison R&B type donating 100 percent of the proceeds from his recent release, Healing Time, to rebuilding New Orleans.
