With all the controversy swirling around the Wu-Tang Clan (specifically with RZA’s handling of the crew’s finances) it seems that GZA has been the only one smart enough to take the diplomatic route. By keeping his name out of the dirt, GZA has positioned himself for another triumphant return to the stage where he’ll be promoting his newest album Pro Tools (Babygrande Records). As far as rhymes go he’s as sharp as ever, but it’s production by artists like Black Milk, Mathematics, RZA and Arabian Knight that’s brought him back to Liquid Swords form. You can catch the Genius at Abbey Pub with a solid line-up of openers including Aristacats, Langston Bukowski (Apoc & Racecar) and Verbal Kent, who is also promoting a new album Brave New Rap. (J.
