Coldplay has admittedly gone downhill since its first two incendiary albums, Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head (I blame Gwyneth), but that's no reason to write off the chance to see the band at the height of summer at outdoor venue Alpine Valley. If memory serves, Chris Martin puts on a solid show and the whole band sounds really good live. If you truly cannot stand Coldplay's later work, you can treat songs like "Speed of Sound" and "Viva la Vida" as prime time for bathroom breaks/beer runs. (Amanda Nyren)
