The name may imply all kinds of yuk-yuk humor, but Yak-zies takes fun very seriously -- especially during Cubs season when this bar is a mainstay in the neighborhood. Local radio station XRT kicks off its annual Wrigleyville bar crawl here every year; many a pre- and post-game brew toast is made in the restaurant or adjacent tent (which really, is much better than it sounds). And should you miss out on ticket sales, there's tons of TVs for you to catch the game.
Although Yak-zies may not be a fancy lad, it sure is fun -- and it offers some darn good greasy bar food to boot. The herb crust pizzas (so spicy!) are famous, but hey, don't go dissin' on the fries or the wings because those have a special place in Chicagoans' hearts, too. And the best part? It's within rolling distance from Wrigley. Yak-zies is just across the street from the main entrance.
