The Money Shot wants to be your far
Rogers Park alternative to going to the Loop for your weekend clubbing experience. Boasting a menu of Italian comfort foods, sandwiches, and small plates, this restaurant is set up with elements of a club in mind: several canopied tables are there to separate the anticipated VIPs from the regular folk. But don't let the name of the place give you the wrong impression: you don't have to be a classy sophisticate to attend this club.
Helmed by lifelong Northwest Side resident and Kendall Culinary School graduate Anthony Belter, formerly of Goose Island and Ted's Montana Grill, The Money Shot menu is influenced by Belter's childhood faves. The menu features a few basic-sounding sandwiches, such as the caprese for $8, on up to a "steak and potatoes" entree of sirloin for $15.
The Money Shot wants to save you a few bucks on cab fare. On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 10 p.m., the club "transforms itself into the most stylish lounge on the northside of Chicago." Live DJs keep the party going into the small hours.
Average cost: $10-$20
