Coaches has it all, if your definition of having it all is a sports bar in a Holiday Inn near Midway airport. And why shouldn't it be? Sometimes, a little place like this is just the ticket, whether you're in the middle of traveling and need a quick place to have a few and watch a game, or you need to take a break from the local scene.
Coaches is a place with few frills and even less expectations. It is, after all, a hotel bar near an airport. But that doesn't mean you're slumming it here. On the contrary, it's a practical choice if you need an escape from the terminal. Surprisingly, and a bit charmingly, a few of the ubiquitous wide-screen HDTVs are devoted to arrival and departure times so you can keep tabs on your flights while pulling tabs off a few cans.
Coaches serves up the comfort food you'd expect to find at a sports bar, with a selection of fried and breaded appetizers going all the way on up to a slab of baby back ribs.
