You know you've found a good bar when the patrons of that bar are proud of where they drink. Brigadoon is one such bar. The neighborhood folk that call this their drinking home couldn't have more kind things to say about this watering hole.
After living in Chicago for a few years, you stopped being floored when someone charges you $8 for a PBR and seems annoyed you asked for one. Then, you visit a bar like Brigadoon and are reminded what cheap beer should cost - it should be, well, cheap and delivered with respect. Bottles, drafts and liquor as far as the eye can see await you at Brigadoon. The bar doesn't serve food, but keeps a stock of carryout menus behind the bar in case someone gets hungry.
The bar area features friendly and attentive bartenders and plenty of flat screen televisions. In the back of the bar you'll find a game room stocked with dart boards, a pool table and video games. Brigadoon sponsors pool leagues and softball leagues, which fills the place up on some nights.
Brigadoon is the kind of place where a one-time customer quickly becomes a regular. The colorful crowd that sits at the bar is sure to keep you entertained and give you plenty of reasons to stay for just one more.
