With colorful painted walls (blocks of bright colors and red lights) and some decent drink specials ($2 bottles on Tuesday, $3 imports on Wednesday and $3 exports on Thursday), Toon's does alright as a slightly stylized neighborhood bar. It's got an unassuming front but inside, the smattering of tables with tall bar stools makes for a nice place to gather on the weekends. Higg windows offer a cozy underground feel. Some attempts at high style are evident (such as the crystal ball in the corner), and there's a touch of indie rocker. The clientele, however, is strictly local preps.
